We reserve the right to follow up with you and verify parental consent and eligibility at any point during the contest.

How will you use my submission?

Videos in the winning and finalist categories will be showcased on the Project Ed website. We may also use your video or derivatives of it in our advertising, marketing, and promotional materials or as part of our products. Please minimize violence, crude humor, nudity, or indecent behavior. If you'd like more information, please email us: ProjectEd@amplify.com

Can I use my favorite song in my video?

Did you get written permission from the artist? If so, how do you know Beyonce, and when can we meet her, too? Just kidding! (But if you do know Beyonce...)

Anyway, we recommend that you only use music you composed and recorded in the video. To use music composed or recorded by someone else, you MUST get written permission from the owner. Some musicians choose to release their music under Creative Commons Licenses, which may allow you to use the music in your video. For more information, visit the Creative Commons website. The only Creative Commons license you may use for videos entered into our contest is the CC BY (Creative Commons Attribution License).

Can I use video footage or photos shot by someone else in my video?

You can only use video footage or photos shot by someone else if the footage or photos are in the public domain or you have obtained written permission from the owner of the material.

Who will own my video once I submit it?

You retain ownership of your video. However, by entering the contest, you are agreeing to grant Amplify Education a license to use the video for purposes specified in Section 9 of the General Terms and Conditions.

What do I do if I made a mistake?

We can change the video/GIF if it is before the contest deadline. Please email us at ProjectEd@amplify.com

I've won! What should I do with my video?

Congratulations! We will email you details about what to do with your video. We'll ask you to upload it with specific instructions. Stay tuned!

Who gets paid?

If you are under 18, we will issue the check to your parent or legal guardian. However, if you are over 18, it's all yours!

Why haven't I received my prize yet?

Take a deep breath first. We promise we're not keeping the prize from you intentionally. Here's how it works: when you give us the paperwork for the prize, we take that to an accounting team. They process the paperwork and issue the check, which typically takes up to 2-3 weeks. Due to the high volume of winning contestants, this sometimes takes some time to process. You should receive your prize within 30-60 days of the contest. Has it been over 2 months? Kindly send us an email: ProjectEd@amplify.com -- We'll take care of it!

I'm a teacher, can my students be in my video?

Yes! As long as they fill out an Actor Release form, they can be in the video.

If I am a teacher, will my school allow me to participate?

By submitting a video for consideration, you confirm that you have received the necessary permissions and are in compliance with your school, institution, school board, and school district policies. If in doubt, please contact your school, district, or institution administration. Any entry submitted in violation of such policies may result in disqualification.
